Lying, spreading rumors and backbiting are actions that are observed by Allah. (Al-Hadid, Ayah 4)
The tongue is a significant gift from Allah, serving as an essential part of our body which we use to express our needs and ideas in a manner that is pleasing to Allah. Despite its small size, it can be challenging to control at times.
Given that the tongue has the potential to lead us towards the hellfire, it is prudent to create a reminder of the associated dangers and ways to avoid using it in manners that lead directly to destruction, In’shaa’Allah. While this serves as a reminder for others, it also acts as a substantial reminder for myself when consolidating this information, Alhamdulilah.
I have not set an age range for this material as I believe it is suitable for children capable of writing in coherent sentences, ranging from ages 7 to 14 or 15, as per individual preference.
I intend to utilize this with a group of girls aged 8 to 14 years, In’shaa’Allah.
Included in this package is reading material and corresponding answers, along with evidence and support from the Quran and sunnah. It delves into the appropriate and inappropriate usage of the tongue, guiding us on interactions where we should not raise our voices. It also explores the meanings of gossiping and backbiting, outlining their harms and corresponding punishments. Additionally, it discusses when it is permissible to backbite, supported by all proofs and evidences, and advocates for speaking positively or exercising silence. The package also addresses the three major sins, the consequences of telling lies, the reasons behind lying, the habit of lying and its repercussions, the importance of truthfulness, and the monitoring of our actions by the angels.
May Allah make this beneficial for you and your children.
Kindly provide an honest review if it proves helpful for your students or family, enabling others to also benefit from this, In’shaa’Allah.
