Organizing with a Mrs. Hinch Book: To-Do Lists, Homeschooling, and Budget Planning

Repurposing a Mrs. Hinch Book for To-Do Lists, Homeschooling, and Budget Planning

Today, I’m using a Mrs. Hinch cleaning book I bought from a charity shop for £2 to write down everything I need to do in the next few days.

Why I Use a Mrs. Hinch Book for To-Do Lists

This includes things like appointments, shopping, homeschool preparations, Islamic resources I need to finish, class materials I need to buy before the students return, and bills I need to pay. It also covers people I need to visit, books I need to buy—basically everything and anything that needs to be done before a certain date.

You’re probably thinking, "Aren’t Mrs. Hinch books for shopping and cleaning?" Yes, they are, but I’m using this one to make lists because it’s cute, Allahumma Barik! I love making to-do lists in something cute.

Plus, I picked this up for £2, and it says on the back it’s usually £12.99, so I found a bargain! Alhamdulilah.

I’ll use it for cleaning at some point when the house is a mess and I need a reset, but today, it’s my to-do list. I’ll be working through it and ticking things off as I go.

Budget Planning: How a Monthly Tracker Helps You Save

I’ve also downloaded a free monthly budget tracker because I really want to get my spending under control.

I believe that having everything on paper helps you see where to correct bad spending habits. It’s also great for finding ways to cut costs and save, In’shaa’Allah. I often use this monthly budget sheet, especially when I feel like I might have been overspending.
