About Me
My name is Umm Harris, and I am a Salafi revert who follows the Qur’an and Sunnah with the understanding of the Salaf. I am from the United Kingdom, a wife, homeschooling mother, grandmother, and Islamic Studies teacher.
For over 11 years, I have been teaching Islamic Studies to Muslim children in my community, and I am forever grateful to Allah for this opportunity. Before Islam, I worked as a nursery practitioner and a childminder, among many other roles. However, most of my years have been spent nurturing and educating Muslim children, which remains my passion.
Why I Teach & Create Islamic Resources
My passion is to protect Muslim children from the evils of this world and give them the tools they need to navigate the trials and fitan that will inevitably come their way. There is no doubt that the enemies of Islam are targeting our children, and as Muslim mothers and educators, we must strive together to raise them upon the truth.
This is what drives me in my teaching and why I also create the Islamic resources available on my website.
When I first started homeschooling, there were very few Islamic resources available that I could trust. I only relied on a handful of sisters’ materials, but over time, I noticed that some began to drift away from the correct methodology. This was alarming and left me in a difficult situation—I no longer had reliable materials to use or share with my community.
I turned to Allah for guidance, and soon after, I began creating my own authentic Islamic resources using books from the scholars and Salafi students of knowledge. I also incorporated knowledge from my own Islamic lessons with students of knowledge. This way, I knew exactly where my materials were coming from—trusted sources upon the Qur’an and Sunnah, following the understanding of the Salaf.
My Connection to Scholars & Students of Knowledge
To ensure that my teaching and resources remain upon the correct path, I have always sought advice and guidance from students of knowledge in the UK. Before I began this journey, I consulted with them and received their approval.
To give you insight into where I take my knowledge from, here are some of the scholars and students of knowledge I listen to, learn from, and read books by:

My Role as a Teacher
I am not a student of knowledge, nor do I claim to be. I simply teach from the works of the scholars and trusted students of knowledge, ensuring that Muslim children receive Islamic education based on authentic sources.
I do not call to myself, nor do I teach my own opinions. I only strive to call to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ upon the way of the Salaf. My goal is to help mothers, teachers, and communities raise children upon the truth by providing trusted Islamic classes and resources.
May Allah bless this effort, guide us all, and protect our children.
